NCC NEWS AND UPDATE

The COVID-19 Pandemic has IMPACTED daily life in many ways! This impact not only effects us, as individuals, but also the greater community including those we SERVE. NCC is extremely grateful for the DEDICATION and PASSION of our partners in ensuring our warriors are supported! We would like to run a series of stories showcasing “SUCCESSES during COVID.” Do you have a story to tell? Please submit your experiences/quotes/stories of providing support during the pandemic to marketing@neurocc.com. Thank you for all that you do from NCC Marketing team.

Please take a look at our September events calendar on our website. We will be partnering with WWP to offer Wellness Wednesdays for our warriors and families. CSS are encouraged to attend with their warriors! In addition, as we gear up for month 6 of virtual CSS services for some of our warriors, we will be offering a ‘Virtual CSS Services Reboot: Combatting Zoom Fatigue‘ session. We hope this will provide an opportunity for CSS to share ideas and support one another in providing this unique service. If you are currently providing virtual CSS services, you will be receiving an invite to attend the session.

We look forward to sharing resources and trainings with you each month. If you have a resource that may be beneficial to all of our agencies, please contact Jenny Abramson at Jabramson@neurocc.com.

Creative Arts Corner

Numbing by Wesley H.

Meet Wesley:

“Art is an outlet and the way I express myself.”

I wanted to express myself better, so I started taking art classes with Ola. I realized that drawing is a way to “get stuff out on paper so people can better understand how I feel.” I started taking lessons so that I could create more professional statements – not just stick figures with guns!

Before I started lessons, I drew on my own and did not want to share my work. I threw it away. My wife found my drawings and started to save them in a portfolio. Now I have 2 portfolios.

Ola encouraged me to start painting, even though I still like drawing better. He pushed me to enter my painting in an art competition.

Wesley’s art is currently on display in Clarksville, TN. To see more of his work, visit:  https://www.downtownartistsco-op.com
