“It is my passion to help others. Joining the Neuro Community Care team has allowed me to fulfill that passion and deep commitment to helping individuals in need including our service members who served our country bravely, proudly and continually. Coming from a military family, I am thankful for the work we do at NCC. The warriors’ stories are truly inspiring, and it is an honor to work with these individuals.”

Yniquekeyah has more than 15 years of experience working with children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities in various settings, including classrooms, mental health institutes, and community action agencies. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2010 from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She earned her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Fayetteville State University. Yniquekeyah has spent several years being a support system to families and advocate for those in need through her work in head start facilities and non-profit organizations. She supplements those efforts by finding resources for impoverished adults and children dealing with behavioral issues. Yniquekeyah earned her North Carolina Board of Licensed Professional Counselors license in 2017. Yniquekeyah grew up in a military family, which led to an interest in working with service members and their families.

As a counselor, Yniquekeyah understands the importance of self-care. She enjoys exercising, traveling, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
