NCC NEWS AND UPDATES

Thank you to all CSS who joined in our ‘Creating Stellar Sessions’ webinar in February! It was a great opportunity for our CSS to share ideas about goals and activities related to Physical Health and Wellness. We will add the recording of this webinar and new resources on our website next month – we will share the link with you all when it is available! We will do two more webinars in this series over the next four months with the hope of sharing ideas to create stellar CSS sessions!

If you have any questions, reach out to your case manager or contact Jenny at Jabramson@neurocc.com

The Original Virtual Military Spouse Event Is Back:

Sixth Annual Independent

Wellness Summit, March 1- 6, 2021

Years before virtual workshops, conferences and summits became the norm, the team at InDependent was presenting military spouses with what they needed: a virtual wellness summit that fit their schedule. The event is a trifecta of things military spouses need: It’s open to everyone in the military spouse and first-responder community; it’s completely flexible to work around your schedule; and it’s all about you. This year’s virtual summit is no exception, except that it’s bound to be even better than before. It will take place from March 1 through March 6, and it’s 100% virtual and on your own schedule. The interviews are curated by the InDependent team and military spouse Corie Weathers. The experts share actionable and practical ways to learn about and improve upon your personal wellness. The interviews are recorded and available through the week after the summit. Attendees will also get access to a very popular past interview,”Building an Intimate Marriage” with Dr. Michael Sytsma.

Creative Arts Corner:

To My Brother by Daniel W.

I ask you for forgiveness

You say there is nothing to forgive

The way to remember

Is not doubt but to live

But I convinced you to fly

I convinced you to choose

Now you’re no longer here

And me without a bruise

I chose for myself

They call it free will

But you are alive

You can still feel

I lived a good life

From beginning to end

We are still brothers

With nothing to mend

Remember my face

Each day that you wake

Remember why you live

And the life you can make
