“I’m truly in awe of the opportunity I have to work with such a wonderful team and with such an incredibly impressive group of Veterans and Veteran families. My role of just being there, making their voices feel heard, valuing them as a person, supporting them in ways they want to succeed in regaining their independence is a blessing for which I could not be more grateful.”

Allie has over 8 years of experience in social work and is an avid mental health advocate. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Work and minored in Mathematics. Having spent many years in both locations, she considers herself to be from both Raleigh, NC and Austin, TX. Throughout her career, she has worked with the elderly and adults with disabilities through Adult Protective Services in Austin, TX, Veterans experiencing homelessness at a transitional housing program in Durham, NC, and adults with physical/mental disabilities, substance use disorders, and/or criminal backgrounds at a permanent supportive housing program in Raleigh, NC. She has been grateful for the opportunity to learn how best to provide services to vulnerable populations and how to support them in their journeys of improving their overall experience in life.

Allie is currently in grad school at Purdue University Global pursuing a master’s degree in general psychology. She lives in Raleigh with her 8-year-old terribly misbehaved chihuahua, ShugHoney, and enjoys spending her time around waterfalls, dance floors, roller skating rinks, and family.
