Independence Program (IP)

Wounded Warrior Project Flag-256Live life to the fullest — and on your own terms! That’s just what the Independence Program helps you do.  It’s designed for warriors who rely on their families because of moderate to severe traumatic brain injury, spinal-cord injury, or other neurological conditions.  In addition, the warrior’s cognitive or physical challenges limit their opportunities to access resources and activities in their own community.  The Independence Program is a team effort, bringing together the warrior, family, treatment team, and community-support professional to establish goals and develop a personal plan for each warrior.  It’s designed as a comprehensive long-term partnership intended to adapt to your ever-changing needs.

The Independence Program provides support and training for involvement in meaningful activities, including social, recreational, wellness, volunteer work, education, and other living skills.

Neuro Community Care is proud to support the Wounded Warrior Project’s Independence Program by providing assistance to Warriors throughout the country. Our skilled team of professionals help Warriors access community based resources & services, which are designed to improve the individual’s quality of life.
