Ms. Matchett grew up in Cincinnati, OH and graduated from the School for Creative and Performing Arts. She attended the University of Cincinnati where she joined the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority and served as the Chair of Membership Development. In 1997, Ms. Matchett moved to Cocoa Beach, FL and finished her BA in Psychology at the University of Central Florida. She was inducted into the Psi Chi National Honor Society and was elected Vice President of that Chapter. She also was an active member of the psychology club there.

In 2000, Ms. Matchett began working with people with disabilities at a local non-profit and quickly realized that she enjoyed working with that population. In 2005, she joined the Young Professionals of Brevard and became the Chair of the Cultural and Performing Arts Committee. She also sat on the Oversight Committee at that time. In 2007, Ms. Matchett was hired by another non-profit and was tasked with starting an Employment Services Department from scratch.

In 2015, Ms. Matchett joined Neuro Community Care as a Case Manager so that she could help our military Veterans move forward and reach their own personal goals.
